My husband and I love to entertain. If you’ve been to our home, you know that cheese and charcuterie platters are staple items at all gatherings. These platters tend to be very popular amongst our friends and I am always looking for unique cheeses to showcase each time.
When I heard about The Cheese Bar’s Monthly Cheese Club, I knew I had to give it a try. The Cheese Bar is a local company that specialize in 100% Canadian and Artisanal Cheeses. They carry 30 different varieties of cheese including goat, sheep and dairy cows milk cheese – all from the region of Southwestern Ontario.
Each month, The Cheese Bar selects three different cheeses to be delivered right to your door. Ensuring that over a 12 month period, you will have sampled 36 different cheeses from Southwestern Ontario! My “Whey Local” bag this month consisted of some local goodies and three amazing cheeses:
Blossom – A fresh sheep cream cheese blended with lemon oil and leone zest. My absolute favourite!!
Mild Smoked – A mild gouda smoked with Applewood.
Crossroad – A creamy gouda aged for six months.
I paired these yummy cheese with cured meats and olives for company this past weekend – they were a hit! Can’t wait to see what’s in next months deliver.
The Cheese Bar is offering all With Mable readers a 10% discount for a three month subscription – that’s a saving of $15. Make sure to mention the blog when you sign up!
